Brian R. King, LCSW: As an adult with Asperger’s, Brian found his passion in helping others through a counseling practice exclusive to persons on the Autism Spectrum. As a friend and colleague of Brian’s, we just had to share the mission of clean living and safe supplements to see if Brian would be interested in the chance of improving his health. We were delighted when Brian not only saw the health benefits of joining our Shaklee team, but also saw the financial benefits for himself and the disability community. Brian advocates entrepreneurship for persons with different abilities – he knows it is possible!
“I’m a firm believer in Shaklee supplements. I feel better and more focused than I have felt in years. I also have been more comfortable in sharing Shaklee with others!”

Angelina & Family - A special education teacher making a difference outside of the classroom
Angelina Strum: A master degreed special education teacher in the field of Autism, a mom to Jaxon and hard working wife, joined our Shaklee team to make a difference in her home and community.
Once Angelina realized the chemicals she was using to clean her home were sinking into her son’s and student’s body she was determined to make better choices. Sharing these choices throughout the special needs community only made sense! Why not help others feel great?
The research between chemicals and disabilities is overwhelming and Angelina is determined to be a leader in change and good choices.
“Being on a Shaklee team focused on minimizing chemical reactions in both children and the overall disability population is a no-brainer. It’s a way to keep my family healthy and have a long term positive impact in our home both in health and finances.”
Angelina’s favorite choices: Shaklee Baby Multi-Vitamin/Mineral Powder, Vivix, Cholesterol Regulator
BONUS: Angelina found out her cholesterol was high enough for prescription medicine, but instead her Dr. agreed to a Shaklee science based regimen for lowering cholesterol. The Results: 90 days later her cholesterol is normal and she’s teaching her Dr. how she did it!

Steve joins Catherine and her girls at Shaklee Training in Chicago
Steve Crow: A franchise owner of a popular ice-cream parlor and proud Dad of a young daughter with Autism, Steve was intrigued to see if Shaklee could make a difference in his life. After just a few weeks, Steve knew he had to tell others about Shaklee. His daughter asks every morning to take her Shaklee vitamins and omegas. Amazing! A child with sensory issues who is asking for her nutrition supplements! The Get Clean Products and adult nutrition support also created momentum in their family journey to health and freedom. Steve hasn’t had a vacation in 8 years from the grind of being a franchise owner, but he is looking forward to the opportunities Shaklee has waiting for him…including paid vacations!
“I have a great network of parents, including my own parents, who understand the essentials to good health. Shaklee is going to make these choices easy.”

Our Youngest Enjoying the Shaklee Lifestyle!
Jennifer Hockings: “I have chosen Shaklee after given the opportunity to learn how to make simple & easy changes in our lives to become healthy. Learning that many household products, bath & body care, makeup, and multivitamins contain chemicals that are not beneficial to us or the earth, why not earn some money too?
Our daughter was diagnosed with autism in 2006 and recently with Rett Syndrome in 2009, since then I have been educated to a different world of wellness. I have personally seen the difference high quality supplements can make a difference with her and our son.
Now, as a family we have chosen to “green” our home one step at a time and reduce the exposure of toxins in our home. Also, to bring awareness and educational resources to others that want to eliminate unwanted exposure. These issues have become important to me since I have seen a difference with my own children.
Please contact me if you have any questions about our products or becoming a Shaklee member.”

Machell Klee
Machell Klee: A community advocate for her daughter who has experienced unexplained seizures.
I am a wife to my wonderful and supportive Husband and Mom to 3 amazing children, each unique and inspiring.
My oldest daughter, Samantha, has Epilepsy. She was born in Nov. 2001 by August 2003 a status seizure had left her severely disabled. Within 4 months, dec. 2003, she was up to 4 seizure meds and her seizures had increased to 200 to 300 a day. With the help of food, the Ketogenic Diet, and Chiropractic we were able to decrease her seizures down to around 20 per day. By May 2008 she was completely free of all seizure medications.
It was a long hard struggle, but through that journey we learned how important it was to trust our instincts and be in the driver seat when it comes to our health. By educating ourselves we chose more natural foods, high quality supplements made from foods, and making our home environment cleaner.
We’ve chosen Shaklee because of their level of testing, their guarantee of only safe products, and that the product does what it says it does. Raising a special needs child is very expensive so it only made sense to join Shaklee and make a little money using and sharing products we love.
It’s our passion to help others by sharing the knowledge we have learned on our journey with Samantha and maybe along the way we can help someone avoid going through what our daughter has endured.

Yikes – We need to go and help someone with some questions that they have about their child’s asthma and home chemicals. We’ll be back later to add more team member profiles and success stories!
