Mission: See Your Future – What are you Talking About?

May 7th, 2010

So I’m sitting at a Panera right now and a quote from one of our team members jumped into my head.  It goes something like: “If you don’t take time for wellness now you will have to take time for illness later”

This rings true right now as I can over hear (ok I’m a little nosey) two women in the 60’s talking about all their “issues”.  Migraines, blurred vision, lack of energy, blood pressure, and thyroid…well, at least that’s all for now (in the first 5 minutes!).

When I “grow up” I want to be talking with my friends about the vacation I just took, my kids graduating from college, my new swanky piece of jewelry, the volunteer work I’m doing and the people I’m helping, including my family.

I wish the same for my children.  We already know too many kids who have what are considered “normal” health issues and miss school way too much.  Not to mention all the fun they are missing!

Life should be about living better and better each day, especially as we become wiser.  I try to make time for our family’s wellness now to assure we don’t have to over dedicate time to illness in the future.  Are they choices you’re making today moving you in the right direction for tomorrow (and your children’s tomorrow)?

Cheers to Healthy Days to Come!

Update: As I finish writing this snippet the ladies have moved onto another topic…nursing homes.  I think I need to move seats so I can enjoy a positive meal with an old friend.

Mission: Get Inspired

April 24th, 2010

As a mom, entrepreneur and advocate I’m usually pretty energetic and inspired in my everyday missions.  I’m often asked “how do you stay so positive”…it’s easy…Hang around inspiring people!  By phone, in person and over the internet I make it a point to connect everyday with people who have the same goals, values and mission as I do.  Sometimes that simply means chatting with a Mom on how to pack a good (and fun) lunch or it might mean driving to a Shaklee team meeting to learn from others who are working from home by making the same choices as us.

Here’s a recap of what inspired me today :)

Mission: Green, Smart, Powerful, Open House

April 11th, 2010

Today is an exciting day!  I’m headed out to Sheridan, IL to help our team member Jennifer Hockings introduce Shaklee to her family and friends.  Jennifer has a daughter with Rett’s Syndrome, was already making greener choices and new the income from Shaklee could make a difference for their entire family.

Jennifer is just one of 4 moms that have joined our team in the past few weeks.  Each one of these moms have their own story of needing more money so they can have more time time with their family, more fun in their life and more resources for their children with special needs.

If you’ve ever thought about life could be different: healthier and more financially secure, please don’t hesitate to ask for more information on what working at home with our team provides.

Have an awesome (healthy) Sunday!

Mission: Acknowledge Success! Accomplished!

March 30th, 2010

Such an exciting morning here at Mission: Clean Kids.  It’s awesome to wake up to success!  Robert Bagdonas, our team member with Down Syndrome is achieving great success working from home with our preferred product line of Shaklee.  From age 8-21 he attended Elim Christian School, a private day school for children with special needs and this morning we found out he is featured on their website.  He is so overwhelmed with pride he can hardly speak.

See the full story here.

Want to find out more on how you can join Robert’s team?  Drop him an email at robert@missioncleankids.com or maybe you just want to give him a pat on the back!
