Knowledge is not powerful unless you share it with others.
At Mission: Clean Kids our goal is to share our knowledge and actions that can help save the quality of life we all deserve in our homes. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to share this information in a face-to-face meeting with a past colleague. It was a great experience.
Since the last time this fellow teacher and I had worked together she has had a son, who is now 13 months old. I was sharing with her the facts that effect us inside our home. The information included:
- There are over 80,000 chemicals registered, yet less than 20% tested for safety
- Babies absorb more chemicals than adults
- Mainstream products contain serious chemicals that can damage his liver/kidneys
This mom had already experienced severe eczema with her son. She has gone through several diet changes and is still looking for more solutions to help her son stay healthy. By sharing the facts, she was excited to learn:
- There are alternatives to the chemicals in her home and they alternatives work!
- Baby products can be healthy
- Toxicity does not have to be an issue
What was Mom’s next biggest concern? She loves the scents of her mainstream products, the bubbles they create and the results they have. My responses:
- You want bubbles? You can have bubbles!
- You want scents? You have options!
- You want results? I, too, wouldn’t settle for anything less.
We then took the home toxicity quiz: HERE
Here next step was putting together her products in her cart. There was no stopping her from helping her son get and stay healthy. Her choices:
- Get Clean® Starter Kit (Frangrance Free to use with baby)
- Infant Powder Multi-Vitamin/Mineral (Adheres to new Vitamin D requirements)
- Stress Relief (Hey, every busy Mom deserves a little less stress!)
