Our Family Success Can Be Yours Too
by Catherine Whitcher, M.Ed, Founder of Mission: Clean Kids
Dear Parents,
As a proud parent of two young girls I have made the daily mission to keep my girls clean! Now as a fellow parent I’m sure you want the same for your little guy or gal, but here we take things a step out of the mainstream. There’s good reason that I’m careful about what goes into our home and bodies around here. The toxins in the environment almost took our younger daughter away from us.
As a perfectly healthy 3 year old my daughter experienced a seizure as many medical professionals have never seen before. My 4 year was loving and caring enough to come get Mommy when her sister experienced her first seizure, she just knew something was very wrong. After 5 hours of seizing, 4 days in a coma on a respirator and a one month recovery in the hospital we were on our path to wellness. From being told our daughter could have severe brain damage we found the strength to jump into the world of wellness instead of the world of sickness.
This journey is not easy, but it is a mission which is possible and our family is proof. We find the best care from all different specialties, including mainstream doctors and not-so-mainstream wellness specialists. Together we have a team that understands my daughter, our family needs and through it all we discovered she experienced Lead and Mercury Toxicity!
We have chelated my daughter and our family is committed to making our healthy lifestyle easy and fun! Seeing the recovery my daughter, Johanna, has made is incredible. In fact, she went her longest ever without seizure activity (10 months) before catching a flu that her immune system simply couldn’t fight due to toxins and her body resorted to a seizure.
As for our older daughter Julianne, she is the hero of the family. Saving her sister and joining the family in our mission to live clean brings her great joy. She also keeps us grounded by staying in touch with the mainstream and what other kids are asking for. She keeps us looking for the fun alternatives to mainstream toxins!
Together throughout this blog you will see our family’s daily mission to make clean choices. They won’t always be easy and they won’t always be perfect, but they will be reasonable and we hope they inspire you to bring Mission: Clean Kids into your home. You’ll also find ways throughout the blog on how to join our team and Mission: Clean Kids. I am confident that the next generation of children are not going accept the illnesses and dis-ease that surrounds us and will discover that getting back to nature and filtering out man-made toxins will bring us longer and happier lives for generations to come.
Looking forward to seeing you at Mission: Clean Kids!
Warm Regards,
Catherine, Kevin, Julianne & Johanna Whitcher (Zoe & Honey too, yep, even the pets love all natural treats!)
P.S. Mission: Clean Kids is tuned into the needs of children with disabilities. Catherine’s “day job” for 14 years was a special education consultant and she truly enjoys children with disabilities and their families joining Mission: Clean Kids!

Dear Catherine,
You know first hand the dangers of lead and mercury exposure. What an incredible journey.
Hope you get a chance to help educate this up and coming generation. That was my purpose in writing LEAD BABIES – not just to reveal the shocking facts, but to empower readers to break the cycle of LD, ADHD, autism, etc.
Best wishes to you and your family,
Sandra Cottingham

I agree – what an incredible journey. And how scary for your family.
